This week I had the privilege to make cookies for the graduation ceremony of Project Hope's Green Collar Job Corp. The youth involved in the Green Collar Job Corp have spent their summer cultivating small plots of land sprinkled throughout the West Central Neighborhood. Each of these children devoted their summer to growing vegetables in exchange for a scholarship to help support them throughout the next school year.
I was so impressed with these kids and the beautiful gardens they created. The sunflowers sprinkled throughout their garden inspired me to make these cookies.
